Paste your Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or xAI API key. You pay the provider directly — we never touch your token bill. The wrapper subscription (Pro $25/mo or Elite $49/mo) covers platform access; voice + architect minutes are sold separately in 100 / 500 / 2000 packs.

What you actually pay
BYOK is structurally cheaper for anyone past hobby use.
Credit-based competitors (BridgeMind $16-$80/mo, similar) bundle your token cost into their subscription — with a markup. Aria Code's BYOK model splits that in two: a flat wrapper fee for the platform, and your actual token bill from your actual provider, at their wholesale rate. Heavy users come out ahead by a wide margin; light users pay roughly the same.

Credit-based platforms lock the relationship; BYOK keeps the relationship between you and the provider, with us as the wrapper that adds memory, splat audit, voice, and orchestration on top.

Questions worth asking
What's a "splat" and why do I care?
One audited Aria decision — read a memory card, route to a brain layer, call your provider, etc. Each splat carries a doctrine score, a hash chain link, and a cost row. The Free tier counts splats so we can offer 10 on our compute. Pro tier doesn't count them — your provider bill is the only meter.
Do I really need my own API key?
On Pro, yes. We don't mark up tokens — Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini / xAI bill you directly at their rate. Free tier uses our shared pool (limited to 10 splats) so you can test before signing up at a provider.
What happens after I burn my 10 free splats?
Two paths: paste your API key and we flip you to Pro flow, or upgrade to Pro for $25 — the wrapper layer is what makes the per-splat cost rounding errors. Your memory cards + history carry forward.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro is month-to-month, no commitment. Cancel from /portal — your memory cards stay readable for 90 days in case you come back.
Do you train on my code or conversations?
No external training. Your sessions stay in YOUR memory cards. The audit trail is yours to inspect — nothing hidden, no silent data sharing.
